After a week off, court hearings in the defamation case against Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have resumed.
Depp is suing Heard for $50 million after she implied in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed that the actor assaulted her. Despite that she did not name him, he argues that her charges have harmed his capacity to work.
What Happened To Amber Heard Eye Today At The Trial?
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard appeared to make short eye contact. Heard had just finished giving frightening testimony in which she claimed Depp sexually attacked her with a vodka bottle.
Amber has admitted to falling “head over heels in love” with Depp after having a “unique and spectacular” first meeting with him. Her testimony, however, took a darker turn when she talked about the first time he reportedly hit her, his jealousy, and his drug and alcohol use.
Depp became concerned when he observed a lady seated too close to Heard during a May 2013 trip to Hicksville, an upmarket trailer park near Joshua Tree, California, she alleged.
She then claimed that Depp became enraged and began breaking everything in their trailer, accusing her of hiding his cocaine.
As her evidence continues, Heard is expected to tell jurors about numerous additional incidents of sexual violence, including one in which she claims Depp penetrated her with a bottle.
Heard made it apparent early on in her evidence that she didn’t want to be there, stating the trial had been one of the worst experiences of her life.
