Following graduation, he went to work for Bullard Cattle Company, where he held every job available, including farm manager and head herdsman. In everything he accomplished, he was a dedicated and effective individual.
Alex was involved in both 4H and FFA. He competed in athletic tournaments and played baseball at the collegiate level throughout his academic career.

He was born to his parents Paul and Sharlene Bullard of Cornell and has one sister, Melinda (Reggie) Roth of Gridley, Illinois, and one brother, Matthew.
He is also survived by his grandparents, Roger and Jo Ann Paulsen of Emerson, Nebraska, and Edna Bollweg of Wheaton, Illinois, as his paternal grandparents, Robert and Sharon, died before him.

Alex Paulsen Bullard was 27 years old when he died. A funeral was held at the Christ Community Church in Gridley, Illinois, on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at 10:00 a.m.
