Another mass gun violence in the US was reported in the Greenwood Park Mall, Indiana, after a gun suspect entered the shopping center and started firing a rifle. Greenwood Police Chief Jim Ison has released a press conference regarding the tragic incident.
The mayor of Greenwood, Mark W. Myers, has also given his statement and has asked the people for prayers for victims and first responders. He also stated that “tragedy hits at the core of our community,” reported DW.
But unlike other mass shootings, things went sidewise for the gunman after he received the crossfire before the arrival of the Greenwood authorities in the mall.
A family of James Arthur, who was inside the mall during the shooting, explained what they heard and saw. They reported hearing at least 20 rounds of bullets from a big gun that sounded semi-automatic. James was with his wife and their four kids.
What Happened At Greenwood Park Mall Shooting? Four Killed & Other Injured
Another mass shooting happened in the Mall of Indiana. In the Greenwood Park Mall, three people, including a man with a gun, are dead on Sunday evening at around 6 p.m. Police Chief Jim Ison also reported two more were injured in the incident.
The event went dramatic after another man inside the mall drew a handgun and started firing at the suspect. In the press conference released by the authority, Ison reported people available in the tragic moment were cooperating.
The man with the handgun might be the main witness for the police, as he observed what happened there and finally decided to use his firearm to control the damage suspect was doing. People, along with the police, took him as the Good Samaritan, as he saved the life of many.
The culprit was reported to have a long gun, which might be a rifle and several magazines of ammunition. Judging by what he had, his intention seems clear, and he wanted to kill.
The police arrived at the scene as soon as they were informed about the shooting. They evacuated the whole mall and further investigated what happened.

Is The Active Shooter Of Greenwood Park Mall Identified?
The police might have identified the active shooter, but the officials have not revealed the suspect’s name, reported New York Post.
The gunman entered the mall and had several magazines filled with bullets and a rifle. His intention was clear that he wanted to hurt people. But fortunately for the people there, a witness gunned the man down after the suspect started firing.
However, the police chief of Greenwood reported the main motive is yet to be known at this time. Furthermore, the culprit is dead but killed three people. His shots had also injured two other people. Moreover, officials have not revealed their current condition but are already under treatment.

Is The Active Shooter Arrested?
The suspect was killed by the witness in the place of action. After the gunman with a rifle and several loaded magazines started to shoot at the mall’s food court, a Good Samaritan man who held a handgun analyzed the situation and shot him.
Police have not revealed the identity of anyone yet. But civilians there think the situation could have been much worse if that guy did not have a handgun and had taken action.
Many are concerned if the Samaritan individual is arrested? But as the main witness of the tragic incident, he might be with the police and giving his statement.
