What Exactly Happened To Amy Bradley? Missing Woman Was Never Found By Authorities

Amy Bradley remains missing after over three decades after she disappeared, falling into the sea from a Caribbean cruise.

She was a Chesterfield County, Virginia, resident.

Amy went missing from a cruise ship in March 1998. She was a Longwood University graduate in Physical Education who had previously worked as a lifeguard.

Dr. Phil’s episode The Search for Natalee: Amy Bradley and America’s Most Wanted has presented the case.

What Happened To Amy Bradley?

Amy Bradley was on a Caribbean cruise in March 1998 when she went missing.

The 23-year-old was on the Royal Caribbean International cruise ship, Rhapsody of the Seas, to Curaçao. During the incident, she was a Longwood University graduate.

According to Wikipedia, Amy and her brother Brad had went to the nightclub on the ship on 23 March 1998. The ship records show her younger sibling’s return to his cabin earlier than her at around 3:35 a.m.

She followed him five minutes later and chatted before going to bed. Ron, her father, checked on his daughter at about 6 a.m. However, he found her missing from the balcony where she had slept.

After that, authorities got involved – the Netherlands Antilles Coast Guard searched in the surrounding waters and along the cruise lines for four days. The result was negative.

Since then, Amy has remained missing.

Amy Bradley Went Missing In Ocean- Was She Ever Found?

Ever since Amy Bradley’s sudden disappearance in the Caribbean sea, no one has seen her.

As authorities failed to spot her initially, they came up with a theory that she fell overboard. However, the speculation ended as people knew her to be a strong swimmer.

Moreover, reports suggest possible sightings of Amy in Curaçao. Tourists saw a woman, who resembled the missing person, on a beach in 1998. Likewise, in 1999, a U.S. Navy soldier alleged that he met Bradley in a brothel, and she asked for help.

Years later, some new evidence would lead to different theories, including Amy being sold into a human trafficking industry and suicide. However, the case remains unsolved.

The authorities declared her legally dead after 12 years on 24 March. The decision came due to the lack of witnesses and body sightings.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has a wanted post on their official website under the kidnap category. Furthermore, they offer a reward of up to $25 thousand for any information leading to the conclusion of the cold case.

Amy Bradley’s Parents And Family

Amy Bradley was with her parents, Ron and Iva, and brother Brad on a trip from Aruba to the Antilles when she went missing.

She was born on 12 May 1974 in Petersburg, Virginia. After her disappearance, her mom and dad appeared on the 17 November 2005 on Dr. Phil.

The episode showed a picture of someone resembling Amy, which her family had received via email. It suggested she might have been sold into sexual slavery.
