TikTok is famous for its use of abbreviations by the users, the latest being the word CP. But, what does CP mean on TikTok? Let us jump straight to the point.
Recently, TikTok users have experienced a glitch on the app. A lot of them have their profile pictures greyed out or removed entirely and this is happening all due to the ‘CP’.
Fundamentally, the word ‘CP’ stands for child pornography. Because of this, TikTok has been banning bots, which have led to users being unable to change their profile picture.

In generic terms, the word ‘CP’ simply means child pornography. Reports suggest that TikTok is in the process of removing accounts with sexual images, particularly of underage individuals.
Recently, the news of a minor showing her private parts as a profile image surfaced. Ever since, TikTok has temporarily banned profile pictures that are deemed inappropriate, even if they are not.
Any users whose account displays any form of CP in their profile image would result in immediate removal of the image or possible termination of their account.
It is a responsible move of TikTok to take these indecent actions seriously and care about making the platform safe for everybody.

If you’re a regular user of TikTok, you may have noticed that the app does not allow you to change your profile picture anymore. Or, the profile picture simply disappears and you’re left with a default image.
Some users took to their social media to report the frustrating glitch on TikTok. Many users complained that their display images have either disappeared or they’re just unable to alter them.
It is all happening since TikTok is in the process of removing accounts with lewd and inappropriate images. On December 30th, the issue first came to notice.
In the meantime, you don’t have to be dishearted since you can still enjoy watching the content on the app. TikTok users just won’t be able to change their profile pictures until TikTok finished sweeping the app and deleting such users.
