In the late 1980s through the early 1990s, American stand-up comedian Patton Oswalt made his stand-up comedy debut. Apart from this, he is also a writer and an actor.
Similarly, he started acting in movies and television programs after spending two seasons penning for MAD TV and appearing in his own HBO comedy special in 1996.
Amid this, Oswalt published Zombie Spaceship Wasteland, his debut novel, in January 2011.
Here are some details about Patton’s controversies over the years.
Patton Oswalt Controversy With Stranger Things Dave Chappele Explained
A TikToker recently released a video from San Diego Comic-Con 2017 featuring the “Stranger Things” cast, in which moderator Patton Oswalt made a crude sexual remark to one of the younger cast members.
In the video, actor Finn Wolfhard, who was 14 at the time, is introduced by Oswalt as “an actor born with the greatest p**n name ever.” The scene turns to Wolfhard’s co-star Joe Keery instructing him to “ignore it” and appearing to nod in agreement.
However, Oswalt expressed regret for the statement by claiming that he “thought I was being hilarious but was graceless” on Twitter in 2017. Since then, I’ve apologized and, hopefully, learned.
What Did Patton Oswalt Spoil About His MCU Roles? His Marvel Future In Risk
Actor Patton Oswalt may have unintentionally revealed in a recent interview that Eternals 2 is moving ahead and that Chloe Zhao will serve as the sequel’s director.
Recently, Patton Oswalt appeared on the Today Show, where host Al Roker questioned his involvement in the Marvel realm throughout the conversation.
The Eternals, a 2021 movie, included a brief appearance by Oswald in the post-credits sequence. Oswalt’s role as Pip, who appears with Starfox, played by Harry Styles, as the sibling of Thanos, was made public during the series.
Besides, he might have accidentally revealed that Eternals 2 is in the works when he was asked if viewers could anticipate seeing more of him in the future.
Likewise, this wouldn’t be the first time an upcoming MCU project has been leaked. Previously, a lot of Marvel stars have revealed information regarding impending projects.
Why Is Patton Oswalt Rumored To Have Killed His Wife? Reddit Discussions On It
Years ago, there was a lot of talk on Reddit about Patton killing his wife, with many members claiming that he had killed her on purpose.
Some Reddit users did make the following remarks when the discussion got underway: “He fell in love with a true crime author, and a few years later, she passed away unexpectedly at a young age.” They made the connection between the two and then made snap judgments.
However, he claimed in 2017 that coroner officials had told him about his wife’s death the previous year due to the concomitant use of prescription drugs and an undiscovered heart condition.
In a statement to the Associated Press, Oswalt said that he and his wife, Michelle McNamara, were unaware that she had a condition that resulted in artery blockages.
Unfortunately, at the age of 46, McNamara passed away peacefully on April 21, 2016. To the public’s knowledge, she launched the website True Crime Diary, where she writes on recent criminal activity and “cold cases” of crimes that the police could not solve.
