What did Azealia Banks do to Grimes?

Grimes has claimed that Azealia Banks tried to “destroy her life” amidst a salient feud involving Elon Musk.

In 2018, Azealia wrote in a series of tweets that she had been trapped in a “real-life episode” of the Jordan Peele film Get Out, after being left alone for days in Musk’s Los Angeles mansion.

Their feud goes back to 2018 when Banks posted some comments about Grimes’ partner Elon Musk, Tesla and SpaceX CEO.

On August 7, 2018, Musk sent out tweets in which he claimed he had secured funding to take the company private, while it still had shareholders.

Following the Tweet, Azealia asserted that she was at Elon Musk’s house for an entire weekend waiting for Grimes to record their collaboration.

According to Stereogum, Azealia and Grimes was reportedly working on a track together for the singer’s Fantasea II: The Second Wave album. While Azealia reportedly hung out at the house, Elon had tweeted that he was planning on taking Tesla private at $420 a share.

Elon soon took back his words and revealed that Tesla would stay public. Amid this, Azealia affirmed that Grimes and her could not work on the music as the singer was busy with Elon. consequently, the rapper slammed the two on her social media.

In her posts, Azealia alleged that Elon had made the tweet while on acid. She also shared screenshots with Grimes in which it was unraveled that the singer introduced Elon to weed after which he rounded the stock price up from $419 as a joke.

Azealia also called Grimes “an idiot” while sharing more screenshots of their conversation. Subsequently, Elon’s representatives denied ever meeting Azealia.

However, he was sued by a group of Tesla investors due to these allegations.

Grimes recently shared an unreleased song, “100%Tragedy,” which she claims chronicles her feud with Azealia Banks.

She reportedly played the new song in her virtual set at the Splendour XR music festival. On Discord, Grimes said (via Reddit): “The song is about trying to defeat Azealia banks when she tried to destroy my life”

In the lyrics, Grimes says she is “like a flower but I’m a serpent underneath” as she talks about fighting her assailant.

The lyrics also say: “No forgiveness for betrayal/I could have you on your knees.”

After the song was unveiled, and users shared Grimes’ comments on the song, Banks responded.

According to Stereogum, Banks responded soon after on her Instagram stories, saying: “So you go make a bootleg @inna song about it. Yikes.

“Grimes def has some psychosexual obsession with me. i think it’s bitterness cuz she doesn’t have the musical capacity i have. everything she does is out of pretentiousness and it comes out like that … while everything i do is out of natural swag & geniusness lmaoo.

“Starting to notice all the weird undercover millennial racists hide out on discord.”
