English singer, and composer Francis Michael Rossi, OBE, was born on May 29, 1949.
The Fender Telecaster is Rossi’s preferred instrument, and he has used a number of them over the years, including his recognizable green 1957 model with a maple fretboard, which he bought in 1968.
It was initially sunburst, but in 1970, it was given a green coat. Over the years, a number of parts had been swapped out for G&L counterparts, and a third pickup had been added with a Stratocaster-like set-up.
He also has two other green Fender Telecasters, both with rosewood fretboards and a stronger color. Both are utilized in the songs “Whatever You Want” and “Down Down.”
Both of them include three pickups, much like his primary instrument.
