He plays the position of a forward for Vendsyssel FF in the Danish 1st Division. He has also previously represented Denmark internationally with the national U-19 side.
Aside from Vendsyssel, Wessam has also played for AaB and Silkeborg.

Footballer Wessem Abou Ali recently collapsed in the middle of a match between Vendsyssel FF and Lyngby.
He apparently collapsed around the hour mark of the match. After the collapse, he received emergency treatment and was later moved to the hospital. In the meantime, the players made a barrier surrounding him.
As for his recent health update, the cause of the collapse was a seizure. Despite the seizure, he had a pulse and even breathing during the whole incident. At first, a heart attack was speculated, but that turned out to be false. Hopefully, the forward is safe and will return to the field soon.
A similar incident happened during Euro 2020, three months before the current incident. Christian Eriksen of Danish nationality had suffered cardiac arrest in the game against Finland.

Wessam Abou Ali’s age is 22 years.
He was born on 4 January 1999 in Aalborg, Denmark. Although born in Denmark, he is of Palestinian descent.
So, his parents must be from Palestine. Apart from this, we don’t have much knowledge of his parents including, their identity. However, his parents must be sad regarding his recent collapse on the field.
Abou Ali’s football career began at the young age of 4, playing for a local Aalborg club, B52/AFC. Then as a 10-year-old, he moved to AaB.
