Wendy Moniz Grillo is an American television actress, best known for her roles on the CBS soap opera Guiding Light, in Nash Bridges, and in The Guardian.
Moniz made her TV debut as Dinah Marler in the CBS daytime soap opera Guiding Light. From 1995 until 1999, she starred as a regular series and was nominated for two Soap Opera Digest Awards. Earlier in 2000 and 2002, Moniz returned as a guest star. Moniz landed a role in the primetime CBS drama-pilot Partners in 1999. In the same year, she starred with Morrie in Mitch Albom ‘s book Tuesdays in the critically acclaimed television film adaptation. She was later a recurring series opposite Elizabeth Perkins in the short-lived NBC television show Battery Park.
Moniz was cast as a regular series in the sixth and final season of the Nash Bridges CBS show in the fall of 2000. She later appeared opposite Simon Baker on the CBS show The Guardian. The show was broadcast from 2001 to 2004. Moniz’s guest-starred in a 2005 episode of the NBC legal drama Law & Order and played a recurring role as Stacey Walker in the 2007 ABC short-lived comedy series Big Shots. She later appeared from 2009 to 2010, on the FX Damages series. She was cast in the CBS police drama Blue Bloods in 2010 but with Andrea Roth, the role has been recast. She later appeared on the ABC daytime soap opera One Life to Live in 2011, in the recurring role. She also appeared in 2012 on ABC series 666 Park Avenue.
