Wayne Rooney Breaks His Silence on Wagatha Christie as Coleen Reveals What Rebekah Vardy Texted Her After THAT Bombshell Post in Disney+ Documentary

Wayne Rooney has opened up about the moment he first learned of his wife Coleen’s Wagatha Christie Instagram post, unraveling the behind-the-scenes drama and intrigue in Coleen’s new Disney+ documentary: The Real Wagatha Story. In this exclusive look into their lives, the Birmingham City manager, aged 37, details how his wife, also 37, kept her super-sleuthing activities a secret as she embarked on a quest to uncover how private information from her Instagram was mysteriously making its way to The Sun.

A riveting trailer was released on Friday, building anticipation for the documentary’s launch on the streaming platform next Wednesday. In the trailer, Coleen Rooney reveals the astonishing contents of a text message she received from her arch-rival, Rebekah Vardy, after posting her now-infamous ‘It’s…. Rebekah Vardy’s account’ message on Instagram.

In a sneak peek from Wayne’s exclusive interview, the former footballer questions, “What has she done here?” The interview footage is intercut with scenes of Wayne accompanying Coleen to the High Court in London, where their feud with Rebekah Vardy transformed into a bitter legal battle.

In another revealing segment of the trailer, Coleen shares the message she received from Rebekah, saying, “I had a message from Rebekah saying, ‘What is this?’” Coleen responds, “I was thinking, ‘You know what this is.’”

From September 2017 to October 2019, The Sun published a series of articles about Coleen, ranging from her alleged travel to Mexico for ‘gender selection’ treatment, plans to revive her TV career, to the flooding of her basement. But on October 9, 2019, Coleen unleashed a jaw-dropping Instagram post that rocked the tabloids. In her post, she revealed that she had been feeding fabricated stories to her Instagram account, restricting the audience to a select few, to see if these falsehoods would appear in the newspaper. The shocking finale of her message read: ‘It’s……. Rebekah Vardy’s account.’ This public dispute became global news, with the hashtag #WagathaChristie trending across social media platforms.

Rebekah Vardy responded to the allegations by taking Coleen to the High Court on charges of libel, vehemently denying any involvement in the leaked stories. However, in a monumental judgment, the judge ruled that the accusations against her were ‘substantially true.’ The legal battle between the two WAGs had captivated audiences, but the fallout and the truth eventually prevailed.

Wayne Rooney’s involvement in the documentary promises an insightful perspective on how this WAG war unfolded. He was brought in as a witness during the explosive trial. While testifying, Rooney mentioned how Coleen had transformed during the three-year saga, both as a mother and wife. He also disclosed an intriguing request from England manager Roy Hodgson during Euro 2016, involving Jamie Vardy’s intervention in calming Rebekah.

This documentary offers an unprecedented look behind the scenes of a tumultuous period in the Rooney family’s life. Wayne shared, “I don’t think anybody wants to be in court, but for me and my wife, we don’t want to be in court. I’ve watched my wife over the past two, two and a half years, really struggle with everything that’s gone on… she’s become a different mother, a different wife. It’s been really traumatic for my wife through this situation. Hopefully, whatever the judgment is… me, my wife, our children can go on and live our lives. This isn’t something we wanted to be part of.”

Wayne also revealed that much of the information about the case came as a revelation to him during the ‘long’ week in the High Court. He stated, “Me sitting in this courtroom this week is the first time I’m hearing almost everything on this case. It’s been a long week. It’s the first time I’m hearing everything on this case.”

Coleen was awarded costs by the court, with £800,000 of the total amount due payable immediately. Rebekah Vardy’s credibility faced significant challenges during the trial, with the High Court judge dismissing her evidence as ‘evasive or implausible.’ She was also accused of deliberately deleting WhatsApp messages central to the case. Her agent, Caroline Watt, faced allegations of dropping her phone in the North Sea deliberately.

During the trial, personal texts from Rebekah to Caroline were unveiled. Coleen, who appears to hold no grudge against Rebekah, expressed her reaction to the texts, saying, “The texts knocked me sick. They were just another level. When I was reading them I was thinking: the evilness and the hatred that they had for someone that they don’t even know.”

Coleen reflects on her forgiveness in other situations but remarks that this was “totally different.” In closing, she emphasized, “You can’t go wrong if you’re telling the truth.” The documentary, set to reveal even more details of this high-profile feud, promises to be a compelling watch for viewers eager to know the full story of “Wagatha Christie.”
