Sanjay Dutt is an Indian actor who works in Hindi cinema. He made his acting debut at an early age as a Qawali singer in his father’s film Reshma Aur Shera (1971).
Sanjay Dutt was born on 29th July 1959 in Mumbai, India to Sunil Dutt and Nargis Dutt. His parents are Hindi cinema actors of Punjabi Hindu Mohyal Brahmin and Punjabi Descent.
Sanjay Dutt was first married to Richa Sharma from 1987 to 1996. After her demise, he moved on to marry air-hostess Rhea Pillai from 1998 to 2008 and finally married Manyata Dutt in 2008.
Sanjay Dutt has three children namely, Trishala Dutt, Shahraan Dutt, and Iqra Dutt. Trishala Dutt was born to the late actress Richa Sharma in 1988. The twins Shahraan Dutt and Iqra Dutt were born to Manyata Dutt on 21 October 2010.

Yes, Sanjay Dutt was jailed. Sanjay Dutt was arrested in 2007 under TADA (Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Act) in 1993 due to the illegal possession of an AK-56 assault rifle.
This was in relation to the 1993 and Mumbai blast cases in 2013. He was jailed for 5 years and was released in 2016.
