Was Rainn Wilson’s real wife on The Office?

Dwight Schrute and Angela Martin’s relationship on The Office couldn’t be more different from Rainn Wilson‘s real-life marriage to his wife, Holiday Reinhorn.

The actor has been with Holiday, a writer and producer herself, for nearly 30 years. According to The Huffington Post, the pair first crossed paths during an acting class at the University of Washington in the mid-1980s.

As Rainn wrote in his 2016 memoir, The Bassoon King: Art, Idiocy, and Other Sordid Tales from the Band Room, he spent years after that acting class thinking about Holiday. Finally, he decided to try to reconnect by looking her up in the Whitepages.

When the two eventually set a time and date to meet up again, Rainn was instantly struck by Holiday’s beauty. “I don’t believe in love at first right — it simply doesn’t make sense — but that’s what happened to me on that night,” he wrote.

On June 30, 1995, the two tied the knot right along Washington’s Kalama River. Like Rainn’s iconic character from The Office, the ceremony was quite unconventional.

The pair’s guests were ushered to the ceremony spot by a bagpiper playing “Amazing Grace,” Holiday wore white go-go boots and a minidress, and the ceremony concluded with the two jumping into the river.
