Was Missing Teen Jed Hall Found?

The bones discovered in a car in the Snake River on Sunday were his, according to confirmation from Jed Hall’s family and the Idaho Falls Police Department.

With the aid of Adventures With Purpose, an Oregon-based diving team that assists in solving cold cases, the car the one Jed was last seen driving was discovered in the river.

The confirmation provides resolution to the mystery surrounding Jed’s whereabouts following his disappearance in January 2018.

A private investigator hired by the Hall family in 2020 found additional evidence, including the fact that Hall had been planning to vanish for months and had told acquaintances he intended to flee to Canada, as well as the possibility that he had committed many crimes.

James Michael Terry of Gulf Coast Investigative Solutions revealed security footage of the vehicle Jed had been driving that he had found. In the video, Jed can be seen stealing into American Heritage Charter School, entering a student’s locker, and leaving something inside. Terry claimed that the item was $1,000 cash for a student Jed was crushing on.

Allen Hall has held onto the faith that his son is still alive for the past four years. He didn’t think Jedediah “Jed” Hall, his son, would commit suicide because he hadn’t had any suicidal tendencies and had expressed curiosity in finding out how someone could live off the grid. He now claims that he believes Jed is dead in light of the discovery of the vehicle his son was driving on the day of his disappearance.

A significant development in Jed Hall’s disappearance case from January 2018 occurred on Sunday, but it wasn’t what his father had hoped for.

When he left his house on January 22, 2018, Jed Hall was last seen at six in the morning. His relatives didn’t believe he had committed suicide. Former Idaho Falls Police Department officer Allen Hall remarked that suicide victims are typically discovered quite fast.
