Lisa Brinkworth, age 55, is currently in France campaigning for the increase of the reporting limit for sexual assaults to 30 years for all ages.
According to startling claims in the tabloids, Gerald Marie, 72, who is charged with many counts of sexual assault, hired a Russian hitman to kill presenter Lisa Brinkworth after she expose him.
However, it was Jill Dando who was murdered in West London’s Fulham in 1999. Although stalker Barry George was initially found guilty in 2001, he was later declared innocent, and the case is still under investigation.
Given the obvious parallels in Dando’s and Brinkworth’s occupations and appearances, as well as the fact that they resided in the same area of London, lawyers contend that the assassin may have confused Miss Dando for the genuine target.
Where Is Lisa Brinkworth Today?
With the help of French senators and a member of the European Parliament, Lisa Brinkworth is presently in France advocating for the extension of the current reporting limit for sex offenses to 30 years for all ages.
The 55-year-old claims that Gérald Marie, the former European head of the modeling agency Elite, assaulted her while she was masquerading as a model for the BBC’s Donal McIntyre Investigates series in 1998.
She filmed a time-stamped video the evening of the alleged sexual assault in Milan in October 1998 in which she claimed what transpired and how it made her feel “violated.”
Due to the deal made between BBC and Elite Models, the video documenting the sexual attack against her has not yet been handed to her or the authorities.
Journalist Lisa Brinkworth Wikipedia
Lisa Brinkworth is a journalist who went undercover to chronicle sex offenses in the fashion business for a BBC documentary alongside journalist Donal MacIntyre in 1998. Brinkworth is not listed on Wikipedia at this moment.
She was 31 years old and residing in Milan as a model undercover for the MacIntyre Undercover series at the time, gathering proof of improper behavior by model agents.
Days after Milan Fashion Week, on October 5, Lisa discovered a 17-year-old Elite model in distress because her agency Gerald Marie had insisted she accompany him for dinner once more.
At the restaurant, Lisa received a directive from Marie to perform fellatio on his coworkers. She invited Donal MacIntyre, an undercover coworker, to meet her at the restaurant because she felt unsafe.
He arrived to find Marie and the other men gone, off to a nearby gentlemen’s club. Donal and Lisa followed him there and began filming him.
To her surprise, Lisa was straddled by Marie as he approached her chair, imitating intercourse by repeatedly pressing his erect penis against her lower abdomen.
Gerald Marie’s Assault Case Update
The investigation into Gerald Marie’s alleged rape and sexual abuse was made public by French authorities in September 2020.
Marie has vehemently refuted the allegations, which were brought by Lisa and currently include 13 other women, four of whom are British. They claim to have been assaulted between the late 1970s and 1990s.
Lisa claims that Maire allegedly pinned her to a chair and assaulted her sexually at a gentleman’s club. Many individuals, including her coworker Donal MacIntyre, saw the incident.
She later captured her story of the assault on camera but opted not to call the police. The reporter had received a notice not to file a report since doing so would have ended the investigation.
Elite Models sued the BBC for misrepresentation following the documentary’s November 1999 broadcast.
A confidential agreement was negotiated, as part of which the BBC agreed to never again telecast the program. The BBC also informed Lisa that the settlement agreement forbade it from giving her access to any footage.
