Was Brendan Langley Arrested For United Airlines Employee And Passenger Fight?
Police arrested Ex-NFL athlete Brendan Langley after an all-out brawl he had with a United Airlines employee.
The incident took place at Newark Liberty International Airport. According to witnesses, the two argued before pushing, slapping, and eventually punching each other.
On 23 May 2022, a video showing the fight has been trending on social media platforms, including Twitter. In the viral clip, the battle starts midway. The clip begins with the workers slapping the passenger, who responds with a slap of his own.
Then moments later, the employee taunts Brendan, making him throw some punches. Though the first one misses, the next doesn’t, misbalancing the staff member.
It looks as if the basketball athlete was backing off after a few exchanges in the video. However, the worker slaps him, reinstigating the fight.
Brendan says to the onlookers, “you saw that sh**t,” and starts to swing at the employee, hitting him twice in the face, which causes the recipient to bleed and daze. After that, the battle ends but the two talk at the end of the clip.
According to TMZ, a United spokesperson confirmed that they fired the worker afterward.
As for Brendan, the police charged him with simple assault. However, he claims that he didn’t throw the first punch.
Where Is Former NFL Star Brendan Langley Now?
Brendan Langley is probably in police custody as there hasn’t been any news of his release.
The authorities had arrested him at the Newark Liberty International Airport after Nrendan had a fistfight with an employee. He faces simple assault charges. If the allegations prove correct, he becomes eligible for a fine, a community penalty, or a prison sentence of up to six months.
The offender is more likely to receive a fine than a custodial sentence. Magistrates court handles such cases.
However, Brendan says that the employee threw the first punch. Whatsmore, the short viral clip shows such. And the majority of people on Twitter support the narrative that the wide receiver didn’t attack first.
