Is Enchong Dee Arrested Following His Tweet And Statement?
Enchong Dee’s tweet and statement over Claudine Bautista’s wedding caused harm on a personal level for the politician.
The politician had filed a complaint about Dee’s defamatory and malicious comments which labeled her as a corrupted official back in November.
Fast forward 2 months later, the actor was surrendered to the team of the National Bureau of Investigation after his arrest warrant was issued on January 31, 2022, Monday.
However, he was released on bail on the same day after posting a bail of P48,000 after his bail was approved by the officials.
He was indicted for a cyber libel crime after his tweet became hurtful towards Claudine Bautista and she filed a complaint.
Apparently, Enchong Dee took his Twitter account to give a statement on Bautista’s wedding where he tweeted ‘The money for commuters and drivers went to her wedding. Let’s not prolong this conversation and don’t say otherwise’.
The tweet has already been deleted and he later issued an apology for his reckless tweet.
