Jon Gruden, who sent racist emails to Bruce Allen, was not fired but rather resigned on his own. He sent homophobic and misogynist messages to the former president of the Washington Football Team and others.

Reports claimed that at that time, he was working for ESPN as a colour analyst during “Monday Night Football”. It is the sports network’s weekly prime-time telecast of N.F.L. games.

He called Roger Goodell, the league’s commissioner, a “faggot” and a “clueless anti-football pussy”. He also said that he should not have pressured the former coach of the Rams, Jeff Fisher, to draft “queers”, a reference to Michael Sam, a gay player chosen by the team in 2014.

In several emails, he sent over seven years, he addressed Mr Goodell and other NFL owners, coaches and journalists with homophobic slurs. Those who he there racist comments on have not agreed to comment on the matter, right now.

Jon Gruden Controversy Costs Him His Job

Jon Gruden controversy is widely discussed on the Internet. When he was confronted for the racist comment, he passed it on to the former president of the Washington football team and other coaches and owners.

He has now resigned from his post because of the controversy and said that he does not want to impact the team because he loves it dearly. He also apologized and said he went too far, but he did not mean to hurt anyone.

His past actions came to light when The Wall Street Journal reported that he used a racist term to refer to NFL union chief DeMaurice Smith in a 2011 email to former Washington executive Bruce Allen.

Now, his actions have cost him his job and the reputation he had built over the years in the sports industry. Many of his previous emails as well as his comments on the internet are being discovered and heavily criticised.
