Police are at the home of Vikings defensive end Everson Griffin after he posted a gun video on Instagram early Wednesday morning. The Vikings are concerned about their player regarding his mental health following his serious of disturbing post on his social media page.

Griffin has battled mental issues in the past as he jumped out of an ambulance in 2018. On September 20, 2018, Everson and his agent were sent a letter regarding his mental health and stated they would not allow him back to the team until he underwent mental health evaluation. Later, he was taken to the hospital for mental health evaluation on September 25, 2018.

Following his gun video, Griffin also shared screenshots of a series of troubling text messages asking for help and claimed he was in danger. Regarding the incident, the Vikings released a statement stating they were aware of the situation and were in contact with the football player.
