Robert Hoagland was a Connecticut-based American chef and real estate, appraiser. He was the loving father of three kids, Chris, Max, and Sam, whom he welcomed as a culinary arts instructor with his wife, Mr. Lori Hoagland.

Was Missing Robert Hoagland Ever Found?

In the case of Robert Hoagland’s disappearance, police uncovered no evidence, means, or motivation for illegal action.

According to his wife, he was not the type of man to walk away from his family and professional obligations because of concerns about his middle son and other private family affairs.

Robert Hoagland headed to the Bagel Delight business on July 28, 2013, to get bagels for breakfast. A surveillance camera at the Mobil service station on Church Hill Road near Interstate 84 saw Hoagland at the store at 6:45 a.m.

Before going back home, he was spotted approaching the counter to pay for petrol and purchasing a map of the eastern United States using a credit card.

When he got home, Hoagland ate breakfast with his son Max before going online to play three Scrabble games, SMS some messages, and pay bills.

Hoagland walks outside to cut the grass between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m., while his son pulls away in his mother’s red Volkswagen Golf. He promised to return a few hours later. In the yard, a neighbor overheard the father and boy conversing.

On July 29, 2013, his wife arrived at JFK airport at 4:00 p.m., but Hoagland was nowhere to be seen. Messages sent to his cell phone and calls made to his residence were unanswered.

She departed to see a family in Brooklyn after two hours of waiting. But, she was alarmed when she received a call from Hoagland’s boss’s wife stating when he was not at the law business that day.

Mrs. Hoagland returned to their Newton family home. On the other hand, Lori’s husband, Robert and their son were nowhere to be seen. The Mini Cooper that belonged to Mr. Hoagland was still parked in the driveway.

Robert Hoagland Case Update in 2021

Up until today, the circumstances behind Robert Hoagland’s disappearance have remained unknown. His case has been categorized as a missing person’s case. In the meanwhile, his case has remained unresolved.

In his office, Robert left his smartphone, keys, passport, and blood pressure medicine. Robert discovered his filthy clothing in the wash, and he had left no personal items behind.

Robert restored the mower to its customary basement storage place. However, he discovered the loafers he had worn to the convenience store that morning in the living room.

Investigators discovered Hoagland had regularly sought an address in Rhode Island on his work computer. He later looked into the address, but he found no leads.

Hoagland completed a check of his personal computer. However, all online searches were blocked by software installed on the machine a month before he vanished.

Investigators have discovered no evidence that Hoagland has used credit cards or a smartphone since his disappearance on July 28, 2013.

On July 25, 2013, at the Union Savings Bank in south Newtown, they discovered a $600 cash withdrawal from one of the family’s accounts.

Ten days after his disappearance, Robert’s wife, Lori, recovered Hoagland’s wallet and vehicle keys stashed under a doll on a chair in their bedroom.
