Wolfgang Van Halen is the only child and son of Valerie Bertinelli.
He was born on March 16, 1991 in Santa Monica, California, United States to actress Valerie Bertinelli and the late guitarist Eddie Van Halen.
Wolfgang’s mother Valerie Anne Bertinelli is an American actress. Known for her work in television acting and presenting, her accolades include two Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards and nominations for a Screen Actors Guild Award.
His father Eddie Van Halen was an American musician and songwriter. He was the guitarist, keyboardist, backing vocalist, and primary songwriter of the rock band Van Halen, which he co-founded alongside his brother Alex Van Halen in 1972.
Like his father, Wolfgang Van Halen is also an American musician.
Wolfgang started his musical career as a drummer. He performed alongside his father as the bassist for the rock band Van Halen from 2006 to 2020.
Wolfgang also performed with the heavy metal band Tremonti from 2012 to 2016.
After his father’s death in 2020 led to the disbandment of Van Halen, he began to focus on his solo project Mammoth WVH, in which he performs all instruments and vocals. His project’s self-titled debut was released in 2021.
