‘Mo’ Wilson’s murder weapon was discovered at a fugitive’s Texas residence, according to a fresh federal warrant for Kaitlin Armstrong.
No one could have predicted that more than five weeks after the dirt cycling sensation Moriah “Mo” Wilson’s sad death, her suspected murderer, Kaitlin Marie Armstrong, would still be at large.
Moreover, the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force reported Thursday that a car connected to a woman who is allegedly wanted for the murder of a professional cyclist in Texas was recovered.
Armstrong’s last known whereabouts were on May 18, the day Austin police issued a homicide quest for her apprehension in connection with the death of Anna Moriah Wilson. At that time, she was last seen being dropped off at the Newark Liberty International Airport.
A successful Vermont-based gravel and mountain bike racer, Wilson, 25, was in Austin for a competition.
However, Wilson was discovered by authorities on May 11 at a residence in East Austin, bleeding and unconscious from many gunshot wounds.
Update On Moriah Wilson Murder Suspect Kaitlin Armstrong
A new federal warrant puts a stop to rumors that police believe they have the firearm used to murder Moriah “Mo” Wilson in the Austin home. She had an alleged love triangle leading to her jealous murder by Kaitlin Armstrong last month.
Similarly, the 34-year-old Armstrong is already sought for a murder in Texas, according to the U.S. Marshals, who said earlier on Thursday that she now faces a federal charge of fleeing unlawfully to evade prosecution.
Besides, the updated warrant reveals that the expended round casings from the crime scene correspond to those that police later fired from a handgun seized at Armstrong’s house.
The same residence that she and her 35-year-old boyfriend Colin Strickland, a professional cyclist who had gone out to dinner with 25-year-old Wilson the night of the shooting, shared.
