Undroppable Players NFL Fantasy This Week and Waivers

Undroppable Players NFL Fantasy consists of 1. Joe Burrow, 2. Davante Adams, 3. CeeDee Lamb, 4. Patrick Mahomes, and 5. Tyreek Hill.

The League features a great number of players in the 32 teams, and each features some superstars that contribute wins for their franchise. These stars are first in the fans’ minds when they have to choose among the player pool during the Fantasy draft.

Since the NFL is filled with constant injury and player rotation in different positions, Fantasy fans have the option to select new athletes for their team. This procedure can be done through waivers, drops, and adding free agents.

However, Fantasy has designated some players as undroppable, which means that no manager can actually drop them from their roster unless it is disabled in the League. This feature is present in the other Fantasy of ESPN and Yahoo too.

With the 2023 NFL season kicking off with a glorious 21-20 stunner by Lions against Super Bowl Defenders Chiefs, fans have garnered great interest in NFL games. Fantasy Football is one such real-time game on the top of the list.

Why Are Some Players Undroppable In NFL Fantasy Football?

Some players are undroppable in Fantasy Football to prevent collusion in the League between managers. Undroppable players are categorized as NFL stars.

These stars have made a fine reputation in football in their last seasons, with great offensive ability per game. They are also the starters for their franchises, which immediately brings their draft stock up.

Since these footballers are 100% starting games and can rack up good fantasy points, NFL Fantasy has designated them with the “can’t drop” tag. This means that a manager who drafted such an athlete for the 2023 league cannot drop them unless they can successfully seek a trade.

These un-droppable players are consistent point-makers for FF. They will aid in keeping the team afloat whenever their other starters and bench do not perform as expected.

A manager will at least have one such footballer in their roster, especially in the starter lineup. This will boost their team’s reliance factor for the entire season.

Likewise, NFL Fantasy has dictated that few positions can never be available in this list. These unfortunate ones are the Defense and Kickers. It’s because these players are not the biggest point-makers, unlike QBs or WRs.

NFL Fantasy Managers cannot outright drop the players listed as Undroppable from their team. They can only do so under a proper trade.

This system is compulsory in the public leagues across all platforms, while the private leagues have the option to disable this feature. Still, many managers are still choosing to keep this system in the 2023 season since it creates a healthy balance.

With this system in check, two managers who know each other well cannot create a loop for better performance.

For instance, if the Team A manager has a good conducting un-droppable QB, then they can drop them for the struggling Team B manager to get them for increased performance. This feature stops this from occurring.

Trade is the only way an un-droppable athlete can ever be moved to another Manager’s roster. Many sites contain the “Trade Veto” feature too, that will be implemented if the fantasy managers decide that the trade is unfairly made.

Sometimes, the listed athletes can be removed by the game developers if the designated ones get injured for the entire season during the initial weeks. A huge decline in performance can also be a factor in their removal.

Chiefs’ TE Kelce suffered from a hyperextended knee before the Week 1 match against the Lions. Many fans who had placed him were frustrated with this unfortunate news. Travis has a good chance of returning for Week 2.

Burrow faced a torn ACL during the Training Camp and has been out of the Bengals roster. However, he returned for the match against the Browns. He had a bad performance.

Jonathan Taylor has been on the PUP list and will miss out on the first four games due to an ankle injury. Similarly, Ravens’ Andrews has a Quad injury which placed him out for the game against the Texans.

Best Bench Options For Your Fantasy Team

Ty Chandler, Michael Wilson, Oddell Beckham Jr., Puka Nacau, Jalen Reed, and Derek Carr are some of the best bench options for your Fantasy team.

Oddell Beckham Jr. is considered one of the best wide receivers in the country. The Super Bowl LVI winner made his inaugural entrance to the Ravens with 37 rushing yards from 2 carries in Game 1.

It is best to put running backs and wide receivers on your bench. Athletes from these positions have a high probability of breakout performance upon their entry to the field of play.

You should choose the players that are likely to come to the field and sit in the backup for the long term. WRs and RBs can come in during many plays in the same match during the formation change.

NFL Fantasy Week 2 Waiver Wire Pickups

Best Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 2 comprise Kenneth Gainwell, Derek Carr, Deon Jackson, Ty Chandler, and Joshua Kelly.

QB Carr has showcased great potential in his debut match against the Titans, delivering a powerful 305 yards and 1 TD. He also made a pass completion of 69.7% and had a 96.1 passer rating for the match.

Moreover, Carr has great offensive talent to back his passes, including Chris Olave and Juwan Johnson. His start against the Carolina Panthers next week will be a bigger demonstration of his prowess.

Eagles RB Kenneth Gainwell made 4 carries for the team against the Patriots. He also rushed for 54 yards and attempted 14. The active RB will surely be a point-maker for the Fantasy players in the next match against the Vikings on 15 September.

Ty Chandler is the backup RB on the Minnesota Vikings roster. With McBride and Nwangwu out from the active roster, the Vikings have Ty along with Mattison to bolster their running game.

Fantasy Players To Drop Immediately

Players to drop for Week 2 Fantasy consist of Kadarius Toney, JK Robbins, Aaron Rodgers, and Isaiah Hodgins. These players had poor performance or suffered injury.

Ravens’ RB JK Robbins has suffered from a torn Achilles in the game against the Houston Texans. He is considered out for the entire season now.

Toney had a disastrous start to his 2023 season with the Lions loss. The WR only gained 1 receiving yard from 1 carry. Moreover, he also created an interception, which resulted in a Lions TD. He also has a -1 rushing yard in Week 1.

Likewise, Hodgins did not make an impact for the Giants in Week 1, which was disastrous for the entire team with a 40-0 blowout to the Cowboys. He only made 1 reception for 24 yards.

Aaron Rodgers suffered an ankle injury during his debut Jets game against the Bills in the last Week 1 matchup. He was eventually carted off, with Zach Wilson taking the QB helm.

Jets Head Coach Robert Saleh fears it might be Achilles. Saleh also reported that an MRI is scheduled to see his status.
