Tucker McRae, brother of Tate McRae, is Okotoks Oilers captain and will start his new journey with Dartmouth College.

Tucker was born in Calgary, Alberta. He is a dedicated athlete who is handling the captainship of the Okotoks Oilers exceptionally well. He represented the Okotoks Oilers as a defenseman in the Alberta Junior Hockey League and was given the title of captain for the 2020–21 season.

The left-handed shooter got involved in the CRAA White U15 AA in the Hockey Calgary U15 AA League’s 2014–15 season, where he took part in 28 games, striking two goals and seven assists.

During that same season, he rejoined the CRAA Gold U16 AAA in the Alberta Minor Midget Hockey League and participated in an additional seven games. Before the season was up, he had one goal and one assist. The celebrity brother participated in the CRAA Gold U16 AAA games in the Alberta Minor Midget Hockey League in 2016–17 and bagged two goals and ten assists.

He is an exceptional player who thrives in his defending role. He not only strikes a goal but has a record of assisting in almost every game. This quality assured him the ninth position in that season’s top 10 list of skater statistics, along with two other defenders.

He joined Edge School Prep, the third club of his career in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League U18. In the regular season, he participated in 36 games and contributed 14 assists in addition to four goals. In the playoffs, he participated in four more games and contributed one assist. At the end of the regular season in 2017–18, he was placed 13th in the skater statistics.

McRae played 32 games for Edge School Prep in the 2018–19 season, racking three goals and 19 assists—the most assists of his career after the season before when he scored the highest number of goals of his career. But he was a step further in his ranking in the skater statistics than the previous year with 12th position. He participated in three playoff games and contributed an assist.

Later in the 2018–19 season, McRae joined the Okotoks Oilers of the Alberta Junior Hockey League, where he participated in six playoff and four regular season games.

He is now committed to Dartmouth College. His main goal was to play in an Ivy League since he was a kid. The Head coach and general manager of the Oilers expressed his excitement for his player to join the League and said he did a great job leading the teams through tough times and learning from previous leaders, taking one step further.

The captain of Okotoks Oilers said that his confidence and skating improvement brought all the attention from the schools. His captainship taught him to make different strategies to deal with different personalities and to understand the character of his teammates to find the best possible solutions.
