ENGLEWOOD — Today’s excitement arrives with a sobering reality.

For the second straight season — and they hope for last time in the foreseeable future — the Broncos will draft in the top 10.

Delivering on this pick remains critical to a rebound. Where will the Broncos go with his selection? My one and only mock draft arrive with answers (and plenty of questions because this inexact science produces humorous results). The Broncos remain connected to plenty of trade rumors, and while I expect them to stay at 10, there is a possibility they could move into the late first round and take Missouri’s Drew Lock if he slides.

The three-day draft begins Thursday at 6 p.m. MT on Denver7 with the first round. The Arizona Cardinals are almost on the clock. My stab at the first round:

Arizona Cardinals, QB Kyler Murray, Oklahoma

This pick shows how much the NFL has evolved offensively. Kliff Kingsbury is a college coach, and Arizona’s risky experiment with him becomes more understandable with a quarterback who fits his spread system. Murray will be the shortest QB drafted in the first round in roughly 90 years. Can he change thinking or reinforce old stereotypes? And will Arizona stick with Josh Rosen and go with Nick Bosa or Quinnen Williams instead?

New York Giants, Edge Josh Allen, Kentucky

The Giants need a quarterback for the future. But they also hold the 17thpick. They can get a rusher first, then move back up if necessary. The strength of this draft remains defense in the top 15 picks.

Jacksonville Jaguars, TE OT Jawaan Taylor, Florida

Tom Coughlin remains old school, liking to build from the inside out. Taylor can help protect Nick Foles and increase their physicality.

Houston Texans, OT Andre Dillard, Washington State

It’s a known secret that the Lions want to trade out of this pick and add selections. The Texans desperately need O-Line help and Dillard was an ace in pass protection for the Cougars.

Buffalo Bills, TE T.J. Hockenson, Iowa

Taking a tight end in the top 10 requires courage. There are not a lot of success stories. However, Hockenson has been compared favorably to Jason Witten. If the Bills don’t take him, the Broncos might.

Denver Broncos, ILB Devin Bush, Michigan

The Broncos need a three-down linebacker who can cover in space and range from sideline-to-sideline. That is Bush. And they need a backer more than a tight end when one of those players can be landed later in the draft. Bush is a ferocious hitter with a high football IQ after playing for his NFL father Devin Bush Sr. since he was 7 years old. Broncos coach Vic Fangio worked for Bush’s college coach Jim Harbaugh in San Francisco. They will have all the intel available to trust this decision if they don’t trade out to No. 15 or No. 17 and take Iowa tight end, Noah Fant.

Back-to-back picks from the reigning national champs. Ferrell fits the Dan Quinn defense. It is hard to predict this spot because so much depends on what happens in front of them. Atlanta is making noise that it will trade up and could target Bush or White in front of the Broncos.

Washington Redskins, QB Dwayne Haskins, Ohio State

The second quarterback goes off the board. Haskins grew up in the area, Washington needs a longterm solution – sorry it’s not Case Keenum or Colt McCoy – and Haskins could benefit from a redshirt year. If owner Daniel Snyder calls the shot, it’s likely Haskins. If he lets the front office choose, Drew Lock or Daniel Jones is more likely.

New York Giants, QB Daniel Jones, Duke

The Giants, in this scenario, become rewarded for their gamble. They have a lot of quarterback plans. They might not be able to sit back. But in this case, Jones falls to them as the successor to Eli Manning.

Minnesota Vikings, C Garrett Bradbury, North Carolina State

The Broncos’ Bradley Chubb signs off on this pick. He loved competing against Bradbury in college. Bradbury can fix the center spot and allow other players to move to increase their effectiveness.

Tennessee Titans, Edge Montez Sweat, Mississippi State

Nashville is hosting one heck of a party. It will turn up to 11 with Sweat still on the board because of heart issues that were detected. If comfortable with the medical issues, he is a huge bonus at this spot.

Pittsburgh Steelers, CB Byron Murphy, Washington

The Steelers need cornerback help. They will have their pick between Murphy, Rock Ya-Sin, Deandre Baker and Greedy Williams. Murphy and Sin make a lot of sense.

Seattle Seahawks, Edge Rashan Gary, Michigan

The Seahawks traded Frank Clark. They need a defensive boost. Gary is all over the map. From a physical standpoint, he should be a top-10 pick. Yet, he was not consistently productive in college. Jaylon Ferguson is another option here.

Baltimore Ravens, WR D.K. Metcalf, Mississippi

Athletic marvel. Has size, strength, and speed. His stats didn’t match his physique. With Lamar Jackson the starter, the Ravens need some playmakers.

Philadelphia Eagles, CB Deandre Baker, Georgia

Crazy how solid corners will drop in this draft. Baker is a tackler, a solid player. If the Broncos decide to trade Chris Harris Jr., it’s fair to wonder if they would move up into the late first round for Baker, Sin or Murphy if one remains on the board.

Indianapolis Colts, DT Jeffery Simmons, Mississippi State

Intrigue surfaces. If no cornerback is left, will the Colts attempt to trade for Chris Harris? The Colts could make an out-of-the-box move by taking Simmons, a star who will likely miss most of this season because of knee surgery.

Oakland Raiders, TE Noah Fant, Iowa

This would finish off a terrific first round with Williams and Jacobs. I have said I can see the Broncos trading out of 10 to No. 15 or No. 17 to take Fant, a big-time playmaker who needs to improve his blocking.

Los Angeles Rams, G Chris Lindstrom, Boston College

This is a quiet pick, just following the board. But there remains a lot of buzzes that the Rams want to trade out, and the Broncos are among those who could pick up the phone if Drew Lock remains in the green room. It would give the Broncos their quarterback of the future with a fifth-year option, while he redshirts under Flacco for a season. Again, there’s enough chatter to file it away.

New England Patriots, WR Hakeem Butler, Iowa State

Could go many directions, including corner with JoeJuan Williams. They need weapons with Rob Gronkowski and Chris Hogan gone and no guarantee Demaryius Thomas can return to form because of injuries and age.

Meghan Trainor’s net worth, biography, fact, career, awards and life story

Meghan Trainor Net Worth: Meghan Trainor is a Grammy-winning American singer-songwriter, musician, and producer who has a net worth of $8 million. She is best known for her 2014 hit song “All About That Bass”. Early Life: Meghan Elizabeth Trainor was born in Nantucket, Massachusetts, on December 22, 1993. Her parents, Kelli and Gary Trainor, are jewelers. She has two brothers, Ryan and Justin. Her father was also an organist, and she first began singing at her family’s Methodist church when she was six years old. Her family supported her and encouraged her to pursue her interest in music, and she began writing and recording her own songs using the digital software GarageBand. When Trainor was twelve years old, she started playing music with the cover band Island Fusion. Her fellow band members included her father, aunt, and younger brother Justin. When she was in middle school, her family relocated from Nantucket to North Eastham, Massachusetts. There, she attended Nauset Regional High School, where she sang in a jazz band for three years and also studied guitar and the trumpet. Music Career: Between the ages of fifteen and seventeen, Trainor independently released her own music that she had written, recorded, produced, and performed. In total, during this period she released three different original albums: “Meghan Trainor” (2009), “I’ll Sing with You” (2011) and “Only 17” (2011). She also released the song “Take Care of Our Soldiers” in April 2010, and donated all of the proceeds from the song to the United Services Organizations (USO) and Cape Cod Cares for Our Troops. After attending the Summer Performance Program at the Berklee College of Music in 2009 and 2010, Trainor had actually landed a full scholarship to attend the school for college after she graduated from high school in 2012. Instead, she chose to sign a contract with the Nashville-based music publishing group Big Yellow Dog Music. She had been referred to Big Yellow Dog by former NRBQ member Al Anderson, after she introduced herself to him at a music conference and impressed him with her songwriting skills. With Big Yellow Dog, Trainor put those songwriting skills to use and began her career as a songwriter-for-hire. One of the main reasons why she started her career with songwriting instead of being a recording artist herself was because she was not confident that she would be able to achieve success. During this period, she relocated to Nashville from Nantucket and wrote songs for artists like Hunter Hayes, Rascal Flatts, and Sabrina Carpenter. In late 2013, Trainor teamed up with producer Kevin Kadish to co-write the song “All About That Bass”. They offered the song to several record labels, but were rejected by them all. Then, Trainor performed the song for Epic Records chairman L.A. Reid, and he signed her to the label almost immediately after. “All About That Bass” was released on June 30, 2014, and was an instant hit. Not only did the accompanying music video go viral, the song spent eight consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. After selling 11 million units globally, it was certified diamond by the RIAA. In total, “All About That Bass” reached No. 1 in a staggering 58 countries worldwide. Trainor followed the success of “All About That Bass” with her first EP, “Title”, in September 2014. Then, in October 2014, she released her second single “Lips Are Movin”. It had a similar retro style as “All About That Bass”, and peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. Prior to the release of her first major-label studio album, all three of Trainor’s previously self-released albums were removed from sale. Her album “Title” was released on January 9, 2015, and replaced her earlier EP of the same name. Despite mixed critical reviews, the album debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200, and was certified triple platinum by the RIAA. In February 2015, Trainor embarked on her first headlining concert tour, That Bass Tour, which featured the Australian band Sheppard as the opening act. Throughout the rest of 2015 though, Trainor was plagued by a vocal cord hemorrhage diagnosis and had to eventually undergo surgery in August that year. In February 2016, at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards, Trainor won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. In May 2016, she released her second major-studio album “Thank You”. The album debuted at No. 3 on the US Billboard 200, and was certified platinum. Her other albums are “Treat Myself” (2020) and “A Very Trainor Christmas” (2020). Personal Life: In 2014, Trainor met the actor Daryl Sabara at a house party in Los Angeles. They began dating in July 2016, and got engaged on December 22, 2017. They got married one year later on December 22, 2018—the date of Trainor’s 25th birthday. The couple announced their first pregnancy on October 7, 2020. Meghan Trainor Broke? In February 2015, Trainor made headlines when she told a British tabloid that she was “flat broke” and living off handouts from her record company. This was obviously shocking news considering the fact that “All About That Bass” had sold over 6 million copies, and her new song “Lips Are Movin” had just hit No. 1 at the time. The reality was that Trainor just hadn’t been paid yet. Under a typical recording contract, artists must wait nine months from when a song or album is released before they receive their cut of the profits. In Trainor’s case, she likely received a VERY large check in April 2015.
