Totalbiscuit wife (Bain Genna), son, age, height, cause of death

Totalbiscuit was a British gamer who made a name for himself as a game reviewer and commentator who excelled to be one of the best in the world. As a YouTuber, he was able to build up a huge following on both social media and mainstream media until his death in 2018. Here’s everything you need to know about him and how he died .

Biography and age of Totalbiscuit

While many fans know the YouTuber as Totalbiscuit, The British Brit or TotalHalibut, he was born John Peter Bain on July 8, 1984 in the UK, in Spennymoor, County Durham. He was raised alongside a brother and sister in a very religious family. Her father, Stuart Bain, was the Archdeacon of Sunderland until 2018, while her mother was Angela Bain.

For his education, he attended the De Montfort University. While there, he worked with the University’s Demon FM as the host of a metal music show. When he finished his studies, he worked for a financial consulting firm before being sacked in 2010 after the Great Depression. Previously, he ran a World of Warcraft radio from 2005 to 2010. This collaboration with the game’s popular radio station was one of the things that would help him later.

Shortly after his layoff, he began making videos of himself commenting on World of Warcraft: Cataclysm on Youtube. Soon after, he became known for his videos and that’s when it dawned on him that instead of using it to supplement his income, he could make a living out of it.

He stayed the course and was able to build a channel that had over 2 million subscribers and nearly a billion views. Although he started the channel in 2006, it really kicked off in 2010. Around the same time, he launched another channel specifically dedicated to Starcraft 2, Clash Royale, and Real Time Strategy content. The second channel, TotalBiscuit Starcraft and Strategy, quickly amassed over 172,000 subscribers.

John Bain had the good fortune to partner with Sony Online Entertainment at some point in his very interesting career.

During his career as a game commentator and YouTuber, he has won numerous awards including the game’s Fan’s Choice Award for Trending Gamer and Battle Royale. Additionally, he became the 2012 Golden Joystick runner-up for Best Player on YouTube and earned a nomination for the Shorty Award.

Wife (Bain Genna) and son

In 2007, Totalbiscuit married Genna Bain, whom he had met two years earlier in California when John Bain came to cover the Blizzcon 2005 event. Shortly after they met, they began dating and in 2007, he decided to move to the United States to marry Genna.

Genna Bain had a child from a previous relationship whom John adopted and took as his own, refusing to call him his stepson.

Little is known about her personal life, but it is known that she is the CEO of Cynical Brit and Axiom eSports. More so, just like her late husband, Genna is also a YouTuber. She started her gaming channel in 2009 and by 2018 she already had nearly 20 million views and 150,000 subscribers. Prior to his death, John also transferred his YouTube channel and Twitch to his wife, hoping to continue after he left. This means that it also takes care of these problems.

Cause of death

At the end of 2014, John Bain announced that a precancerous mass had been detected in his colon. In 2015, he revealed that bowel cancer had been removed only to metastasize to his liver. TotalBiscuit had two to three years to live. Prior to that, cancer was no stranger to her family, both of her grandparents having suffered from it as well.

With the disease, he continued to work and go for chemotherapy until 2018, when he announced that after his stay in the hospital he was told that the effectiveness of the conventional chemotherapy he had undergone was exhausted.

On May 24, 2018, Genna Bain announced on social media that her Totalbiscuit fell into a coma and passed away.

Height and width

TotalBiscuit had a good size and good bodybuilding. It would have had a height of 1.7 m. His body weight, however, was not disclosed.
