He has now become an inspiration to many of us. He has made headlines after raising more than £1.5 million for Evelina London Children’s Hospital by walking 10km on his new legs and crutches in just 30 days.
Reportedly, Tony Hudgell was just a one-month-old baby when he was admitted to the Evelina London Children’s Hospital in Southwark, South East London. He had multiple fractures, multiple organ failure, and sepsis after being tortured by birth parents Jody Simpson and Tony Smith.
Following Tony’s horror, the child abusers will now face life in jail.

Tony’s birth parent’s Jody and Tony were both jailed for child cruelty and received a maximum jail term of 10 years in February 2018.
Tony was later adopted by Mark and Paula Hudgell. Tony’s adoptive family however believed it was not enough and demanded a law change. Following that, the maximum jail sentence for those who cause or allow a child’s death has now increased from 14 years to life imprisonment.
