Tommy Sotomayor is the man of African American women to love to hate because he has indeed given them a bunch of reasons to do so. The Arizona native rose to fame for his YouTube channel, Mr. Madness, where he vents his anger by criticizing black women for many reasons, from their infatuation with human hair to their inability to raise children. An obvious male activist, Sotomayor is also described as a political and social commentator.
In April 2017, a change. A petition by the organization circulated online bidding for Tommy to post his videos perceived to be emotionally hurtful to African American women. The video cites “untold amounts of emotional, psychological and physical damage.”
The petition writers called on CTOs including Google/You-Tube’s Larry Page and Sergey Brin to take “accountability” and stop providing a platform for Tommy to “deliberately denigrate and belittle black women and girls and blacks in general.
However, the petition appears to have failed as Sotomayor’s channel is still going strong with over 303,000 subscribers in 2017.

Tommy Sotomayor Biography,
Mr. Controversy was born as Thomas Jerome Harris on December 11, 1975, in Georgia, Atalanta. He then moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he now resides in Scottsdale.
Tommy’s journey to fame began this summer of 2012 when he launched his YouTube channel titled Mr. Madness. On the channel, he posted satirical videos with weird titles like “15 kids, 1 on the way, no man!”, “Gabrielle Union says dating D Wade hurt her career” and “Woman gets pregnant by a 13-year-old boy. He also posted clips of black women fighting in the streets and the page quickly gained popularity, propelling Tommy to fame.
Many believe Tommy’s hatred for black women was fueled by his mum mom who sent him to jail for his failure to pay child support for their daughter.
In his many videos, Tommy blamed black women for black men who come out as gay. Although being black himself, Tommy is a harsh critic of the Black Lives Matter Movement, calling it a “group of thugs”. Tommy described the BLM protesters as “retarded kids in the classroom.”
Although it seems Sotomayor has more enemies than friends, his attempt to voice his opinions has been, for the most part, incremental.
CNN law enforcement analyst Harry Houck who is also a retired NYPD detective took to Twitter in July 2016 to promote one of Tommy’s videos where he said the African- American was responsible for most violent crime in America. Sotomayor also said in the video that black people are bigger problems than guns. Houk concurred, stating that Mr. Madness “knows what he’s talking about!”
