Tommy Romero is an American Major League Baseball player for Tampa Bay Rays
The 24-year-old righty is one of the more underrated pitching prospects in the minors.
He logged a 3.18 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, and 70 strikeouts in 62.1 innings at Triple-A last season and should spend a good chunk of next season working in the majors, either as a starter or reliever.
Romero was added to the Rays’ 40-man roster Friday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Tommy Romero Trade
Before Friday night’s game against the Orioles, Tampa Bay completed an unexpected trade with the Mariners, sending outfielder Denard Span and closer Alex Colome in exchange for right-handed pitching prospects Andrew Moore and Tommy Romero.
