Regarding his father’s passing yesterday, Tom Palmer Jr.’s Facebook page stated the following. “It is with sadness that we announce the passing of iconic comic book inker and artist Tom Palmer on August 18, 2022, at the age of 81. His devoted family and his devoted admirers will remember him with love.
Palmer’s son Tom Palmer Jr., best known for his Wizard magazine column Palmer’s Picks and for his time as an editor at DC, followed his father into the comics business.
Palmer would later collaborate on other Marvel comics with legendary illustrators like Gene Colan and Neal Adams. Colan was an artist whose style was famously challenging to ink, but Palmer had a reputation for making it work, therefore he would gain notoriety working on Colan in particular.
Tom Palmer Sr. was an American comic book artist best known as an inker for Marvel Comics. His death has brought a lot of sadness.
