Tim Street-Porter: Who Is Janet Street-Porter’s First Husband?

Tim Street-Porter was the first husband of Janet Vera Street-Porter CBE, an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and media personality.

The couple got married when Janet studying architecture and at the time, Tim was a fellow student and photographer.

They were together until 1975 when she went on to marry Time Out editor Tony Elliot.

Tim Street-Porter is an internationally recognized photographer who lives and works in Los Angeles, with a second home in Connecticut.

Tim Street-Porter began his career in London.

His ex-wife Janet Street-Porter, on the other hand began her career as a fashion writer and columnist at the Daily Mail.

Janet Street-Porter was appointed fashion editor of the Evening Standard in 1971 and began co-presenting a mid-morning radio show with Paul Callan on LBC in 1973.

Janet Street-Porter began working in television at London Weekend Television in 1975, first as a presenter of a series of mainly youth-oriented programmes and was the editor and producer of the Network 7 series on Channel 4 in 1987.

Street-Porter was a BBC Television executive from 1987 until 1994 and editor of The Independent on Sunday from 1999 until 2002, but relinquished the job to become editor-at-large.
