Tiffany Pollard is an American reality television personality and actress born January 6, 1982, in Utica, New York. She is known by her nickname New York. She achieved fame in the VH1’s Flavor of love and I love New York. Rapper Flavor Flav gave Pollard the nickname “New York.” She is also known colloquially through her self – proclaimed nickname, the “HBIC (Head Bitch In Charge),” which she exclaimed to taunt her competitors in the Flavor of Love series. Pollard attended John F. Kennedy Middle School and graduated from Thomas R. Proctor High School.
Pollard is the daughter of Michelle Rothschild-Patterson and Alex Pollard. She has one sibling called Derek Pollard. For her primary schooling, Tiffany attended the John F.KEnnedy Middle School. She then joined the Thomas R. Proctor High School from where she later graduated. However, there is no information on whether she continued her studies or left it at that.
After her initial debut in the Celebrity Big Brother House, she then appeared in the season 1 of the VH1 TV show- “Flavor of Love” as one of the cast members. Again, she gained a reputation as the one who had feuds with literally everyone in the show.
Although, there was one particular incident when things led to violence. This happened when Pumpkin Pollard was eliminated, and she went on to spit on Pollard after they came to a raging fight. Pollard vowed for revenge and planned to do so in their reunion. This moment was the number one rated moment of VH1 and MTV channel, and the incident was also highlighted on the Vh1’s 20 Greatest Celebrity Fights.
While on the show, she also dated the rapper-Flavor Fav and their kiss in the series would later become the longest kiss in reality TV history. However, their relationship did not last, and on the second season of Flavor of Loce, she appeared with another rapper- Deelishis. She also was a part of the spinoff show- “The Flavorette” and “I Love New York.”
Another major controversial moment on Television was when she was proposed for marriage by Tailor Made, another contestant of the reality show- “I Love New York 2,” and she turned him down. Finally, she made her cinematic debut with the film- “First Sunday” in 2008 in a supporting role. However, the film did not make much impact at the box office.
