At San Diego Comic-Con 2022 Marvel dropped eagerly anticipated official teaser of Black Panther:Wakanda Forever which caused an uproar among the fans.
This is major news for marvel fans who have been demanding for sequel to Black Panther ever since it debuted in February 2018.
This Is Why Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Is Going To Be A Massive Hit
As to be expected, the Marvel studios panel at the 2022 San diego Comic-Con revealed a ton of exciting information for the fans of Marvel Cinematic Universe.
But more particularly, the Ryan Coogler directed Black Panther: Wakanda Forever sequel was the ralk of evening.
The teaser made sure that Black Panther:Wakanda Forever will differ greatly from the first movie.
When Black Panther was initially released in 2018, it garnered a lot of well-deserved praises from both reviewers and viewers.
When “Black Panther” debuted in February 2018, it caused a cultural phenomenon and shattered the negative Hollywood notion that films with a predominately Black cast couldn’t be financially successful abroad.
However, “Black Panther” became Marvel’s highest-grossing non-“Avengers” movie of all time with $1.34 billion in worldwide box office earnings.
It was the first superhero movie to be nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars in 2019, and it went on to win three awards for Original Score, Costume Design, and Production Design.
Following the pattern of many Marvel movies and being a resounding box office (and other) success, the announcement of a sequel was not unexpected.
The audience in Hall H had an exclusive first glimpse at the brand-new official trailer for the sequel, which is an immensely raw two minutes and depicts the aftermath of their king’s death, T’challa, potrayed by the late Chadwick Boseman.
The movie’s premiere, premiering on November 11, is rapidly approaching.
Chadwick Boseman, the hero of the movie, passed away in August 2020 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer, just weeks before pre-production on the sequel was set to start.
Wakanda Forever suffered another obstacle when a prominent cast member was hurt on the shoot in August 2021, raising concerns about how the movie would handle his death. The makers were deliberating on how to proceed the movie sequel in the absence of his character, T’Challa.
Despite hurdles in the production of the movie, the teaser has managed to captivate large audience.
A performance of Bob Marley’s “No Woman, No Cry” by Nigerian singer Tems is included in the teaser along with brief excerpts of Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright,” which help to express moments of sorrow and tenacity.
The sparsity of words and dialogue in trailer focused the tangible sorrow experienced by the nation of Wakanda over the death of its king.
“I am queen of the most powerful nation in the world, and my entire family is gone. Have I not given everything?”only words in the trailer from the Queen Ramonda reflects the grief embeded in hearts of people of wakanda and fans living through the tragic death of one of the most influential superheroes both on and off the screen.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Cast
It has been announced by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige that the seque won’t replace the part of T’challa, who was the king of Wakanda and also the Black Panther, in order to perserve Chadwick Boseman’s legacy.
Black Panther 2, opening July 8, 2022, is being written & directed by Ryan Coogler. Honoring Chadwick Boseman’s legacy & portrayal of T’Challa, @MarvelStudios will not recast the character, but will explore the world of Wakanda & the rich characters introduced in the first film.

Additionally, according to Marvel CEO Victoria Alonso, the company has no intentions to digitally duplicate Boseman’s appearance for the movie.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will “explore the realm of Wakanda and the colorful characters presented in the first film,” Kevin Feige said in a post on Twitter.
Despite the fact that Disney and Marvel haven’t yet revealed the sequel’s cast, some of the actors have already confirmed their participation.
Martin Freeman, who portrays CIA operative Everett Ross, and Lupita Nyong’o, who plays covert spy Nakia, have both announced their participation but it’s uncertain if Daniel Kaluuya will reprise his role as W’Kabi. Recently, Danny Sapani teased “simply wonderful” filming experience, raising expectations for the result.
Wakanda Forever has numerous fresh faces in addition to returning cast members including Gurira, Nyong’o, Duke, Wright, and Florence Kasumba.
The cast also includes Mabel Cadena and Alex Livinalli as Namora and Attuma. Tenoch Huerta plays the mythical king Namor in the lead role.
As talented young technologists who will soon feature in their own Disney+ series, Ironheart, Michaela Coel as Aneka and Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, will make their cinematic debuts.
There have been several drafts of the script and they still haven’t locked on it, Angela Bassett, who plays Queen Ramonda, disclosed to Entertainment Tonight in July.
It’s doubtful that Michael B. Jordan’s Erik Killmonger, who starred as the villain in the first film, will return. Jordan, though, has stated publicly that he would return if requested.
Ruth E. Carter said last year on the Empire podcast that she will be returning for the sequel after making history by becoming the first Black woman to ever win an Oscar in the best costume design category owing to her work on the first film.
Where was the movie sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Filmed?
The setting of the movie was always clear.
Wakanda, T’Challa’s home country, was finally seen in Black Panther, giving Marvel a fresh and imaginative location for Black Panther standalone films as well as visits from his Avengers teammates.
The imaginary African kingdom served as the setting for almost the entire third act of Avengers: Infinity War.
The majority of the main shooting for Black Panther was shot in Atlanta and South Korea, despite the fact that the movie is set in Africa and only has aerial footage.
The shooting for Ryan Coogler’s intriguing follow-up is rumored to have taken place in numerous locations, but its contents remain a mystery.
Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe shouldn’t be shocked by Feige’s news that the sequel is filming at Pinewood.
Many of the Marvel movies and, more recently, TV shows, such as “WandaVision,” have been produced by that Atlanta-based firm.
There are also plans to film portions of the movie in Worcester, Massachusetts, including at the local police station.
Filming for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is now taking place on the island of Puerto Rico as it enters its final stages of production.
The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever crew member Nikki Wright was seen enjoying the end of a extended filming session from her Instagram post.
And she was able to celebrate on the stunning island of Puerto Rico rather than wrapping up her job in a dim film studio.
The specific role that this site will play in the sequel’s plot is still to be determined.Wakanda, after all, isn’t known for being an island nation.
Who Is Going To Be Next Black Panther Now?
The most challenging challenge for “Wakanda Forever” will be replacing a legend.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which will be released in 2020 following Chadwick Boseman’s untimely death, aims to carry on both the actor’s and T’Challa, a.k.a. Black Panther’s, legacy.
The Wakanda Forever trailer ends with a brief glimpse of a new Black Panther, whose identity is kept a secret.
Only a portion of the costume and a fleeting flash of claws are shown.
Although not certain, it looks like a female character is wearing the outfit, leaving just a few options, most likely either Shuri or Nakia (it is unlikely to be Okoye, given her duty to the Dora Milaje and that she appears in several action shots).
Although it’s fair that the video doesn’t explicitly identify either character as the Black Panther’s successor, it does leave room for a bigger surprise later on.
Both characters have been theorized as possible candidates.
