Who Is Marcus Brooks On This Is Us?
Marcus Brooks is a young scientific researcher on This is Us. While his impact on the Pearson family is not much, his father was somehow related to Jack.
Brooks’s family had been in an accident in 1998, the time when the house fire took place. One of Brooks’s sons, Marcus, suffered an injury from an accident, and he was taken to the hospital for surgery.
While the family waits for his treatment, Marcus’s father meets Jack in the hospital. And, there to lift his spirit, Jack tells Marcus’ father about Dr. K’s wisdom of turning lemons into lemonade. And this eventually becomes the Brooks family’s motto.
And at that time, Marcus’s life was saved when Jack took his last breath after suffering from a cardiac arrest.
Presently, Marcus uses a cane and is researching on finding drugs to treat cancer. But, it turns out that he may have created a possible cure for Alzheimer’s, as per Elite daily.

Is Marcus Brooks Going To Be Deja’s New Boyfriend On The Show?
Viewers think that Marcus Brooks will be Deja’s new boyfriend on the show. However, it turns out to be false speculation.
But this rumor was created by the way the episode was shown. After Deja reveals her pregnancy to Randall and talks about how her partner is studying medicine, and he is always working, the scene then moves to a young man named Marcus.
It shows that he was working late at night in a lab to develop a cancer treatment. This caused a misunderstanding among the viewers that they could be Deja’s lover.
However, in another scene, Malik is revealed as Deja’s lover after a little while. After receiving her text announcing her pregnancy, he came home, stating he had loved her since he was 16 and proposed to her.
