He was named Kim Joon Myun at birth and was born in Seoul, South Korea, on the 22nd of May 1991. The South Korean national grew up alongside a brother, Jin Jun Mian, who is older than him by four years. The singer’s brother is an alumnus of Sogang University which is one of the elite institutions of higher learning in the country.
Suho’s parents are educationists with his dad working with Soonchunhyang University as a professor. Though his mum is now a full-time housewife, she used to work as a teacher.
The famed musician’s family currently resides in Apgujeong, an affluent district in Seoul. This has made many to believe he’s well-off but Suho has always dismissed this. However, living in that wealthy district of Seoul gave him the chance to experiment with golf during his high school days.

The South Korean native was in a romantic relationship with Jenny Kim, a fellow trainee at S.M. Entertainment. The duo broke up after a while.
