Theo James Ferrara, died on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at the age of 14. Our hearts are broken, but we are so very grateful for the time we had with him and the love he gave us.
Theo had a bright future ahead of him, and, as it is with the brightest of lights, he left an indelible mark upon all he knew. Theo, a Freeport High School freshman, was a loving son, brother, cousin, grandson, nephew, friend, and teammate.
He was a truly kind soul who sought out opportunities to make others feel good about themselves encouraging an apprehensive friend to join the soccer team, seeking out his little sister on the playground after school, or unabashedly telling his mom he loved her in front of a crowd of his peers.
To really know Theo is to know that his passions and intellectual curiosity ran far and deep from academics to athletics to the arts. He was a geography savant who voraciously studied world maps, a gifted artist, and an introspective poet. He was a diehard Celtics fan. He was a proud honors student and talented athlete who loved soccer, basketball, and skiing. He enjoyed traveling with his family.
