The Wooden Spoon Restaurant & Pub, Bethlehem, South Africa

Mr and Mrs Willie Naude of the still well known Naude family of Bethlehem were the original owners of the “Tuishuis”.
The farmers of those days thought it wise to own a house in the nearest town.
It was also convenient to stay over when they went into town for provisions.
The street façade of the house, which is the oldest building in Bethlehem, has remained untouched.
It still serves as a beautiful and typical example of the old sandstone-bluestone-tin roof “Tuishuisie” of years gone by.
