The Untold Truth Of Richard Ayoade’s Wife – Lydia Fox

Early life, family, educational background

British television personality, stage actress and filmmaker Lydia Fox, was born on 7 June 1979, in Leeds, Yorkshire, England. She is also known by her married name, Lydia Ayoade.

After matriculating from the high school, she attended Newnham College, a women’s constituent college in the University of Cambridge and studied a two-year acting diploma. While studying, she played Juliet in the 2001 Marlowe Society production of “Romeo and Juliet” opposite British actor Tom Hiddleston, and was critiqued as ‘a slightly nonchalant Juliet.’

Family’s personal life

She is part of the Robin Fox family of prestigious entertainers, well-known for their enormous success in the entertainment industry.

Her father, James Fox, was born on 19 May 1939; in the 1960s and early 1970s, he appeared in a number of famous films including “Performance,” “The Servant,” “King Rat” and “Thoroughly Modern Millie.” He then took a break from acting to become an evangelical Christian. Later, he appeared in various television and film productions.

Her mother is Mary Elizabeth Piper. Lydia has four brothers, Robin Fox and fellow-actors, Laurence, Thomas and Jack Fox. English guitarist, singer-songwriter and actor, Laurence Fox was born on 26 May 1978. He is most well-known for his lead role in ITV’s “Lewis” as DS James Hathaway from 2006 to 2015. He has starred in several films including 2005’s “Gosford Park”, 2007’s “Becoming Jane” and “Elizabeth: The Golden Age.” He has also starred in various theatre productions. In February 2016, his debut album, “Holding Patterns” was released.

Lydia’s father, uncles, husband, three of four brothers and sister-in-law are all actors. Her sister-in-law is Billie Piper, her uncles are Robert Fox and Edward Fox, her cousins are Freddie Fox and actress Emilia Fox, and her paternal grandparents are actress Angela Worthington and theatrical agent Robin Fox – Noël Coward wrote the love song, “Don’t Put Your Daughter on the Stage, Mrs Worthington,” for the happy couple.

Who is Richard Ayoade?

British actor, comedian, author, writer, television presenter and filmmaker, Richard Ellef Ayoade, was born on 23 May 1977 in Hammersmith, London.

From 1998 to 1999 he was the president of Footlights at St Catherine’s College, Cambridge University. From 2004 to 2007 he appeared in the comedy shows “The Mighty Boosh” and in “Nathan Barley” in 2005. However, he’s probably best known for playing Maurice Moss from 2006 to 2013 in Channel 4’s sitcom “The IT Crowd.” He won the 2014 British Television Award (BAFTA) for Best Male Comedy Performance.

He directed music videos for Vampire Weekend, Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys and Yeah Yeah Yeahs, which inspired him to write and direct the comedy-drama movie “Submarine” in 2010, which was adapted from Joe Dunthorne’s 2008 novel.

He co-starred in the 2012 American science-fiction-comedy film “The Watch.” His second film, which premiered in 2013, was the black-comedy “The Double,” and was influenced by Fyodor Dostoevsky’s eponymous novella.

He has often appeared on panel shows, including “The Big Fat Quiz of the Year” and on “Was It Something I Said?” in 2013. He’s presented factual shows such as “Gadget Man” from 2013 to 2015, the spin-off “Travel Man” from 2015 to 2019, and 2017’s revival of “The Crystal Maze.”

He has lent his voice to various animated movies, including “The Boxtrolls” in 2014 and “Early Man” in 2018.

He has also voiced characters in television series such as “Strange Hill High” from 2013 to 2014, and “Apple & Onion” since 2018.
