She has a younger brother named Wolfgang, and an older sister, Martine, all of English, Swiss, Irish, Dutch and German descent. When she was five, the family relocated to Butler in Pennsylvania, where Scarlet began studying at an elementary school, however, when she was 11, the family moved back to Los Angeles and Scarlett started studying at home, and taking her exams at home as well, as she was too busy to attend high school due to her modelling career.
Career as a model and social media star
Scarlett’s modelling career was launched when she was 14 years old – she was at an airport getting ready to board her flight, when she was noticed by a modelling agent working at Wilhelmina Models agency; after talking to her parents, she signed her first contract at the age of 15. From there, she went on to sign with Next Models Worldwide, which she has been working with to this day.
Scarlett posed for many famous brands before she was invited to become the face of Brandy Melville, an Italian fashion brand.
The brand is quite controversial, as they are producing clothes in only one size, having the policy that ‘one size fits most’. This led to critics suggesting people not buy their clothes,. as they do not fit the requirements of most women living in the US. Nevertheless, the brand became extremely popular amongst young girls, mostly teenagers, and Scarlett became famous worldwide after she began working with them.
Scarlett is also a social media star, having gathered over 2.6 million followers on her Instagram account, onto which she mostly uploads pictures taken during her photoshoots, as well as those showing her everyday life.

Love life and relationships
Scarlett has been associated with a couple of men throughout the years, while her connection with Justin Bieber, a famous Canadian singer, helped her to expand her fanbase. The popular singer began following her on Instagram, and uploaded a picture of her, leading people to believe that they were dating, however, Scarlett state that she did not bother to follow him, as she isn’t much of a fan, and isn’t interested in meeting him.
Scarlett was in a relationship with Dylan Davis, a man whom she met at a party which she attended with two girlfriends. She and Dylan texted for several months after the party, starting to date in 2016, however, they split in 2017 for unknown reasons. Scarlett is currently seeing a mysterious man, and they have apparently been together for over a year now.
Hobbies and other interests
Scarlett enjoys eating a variety of foods, which is why she is unable (or unwilling) to follow a strict diet, however, she stays healthy thanks to four training sessions at the gym every week.
She advises models and all girls who want to look good that they should not starve themselves but should rather focus more on working out. Scarlett is also interested in doing yoga, and has been attending yoga classes for over three years now. She is a huge fan of clothes, and has stated how the best part of being a model is a lot of free clothes which models often get.
She enjoys watching football in her spare time, and is keen on playing summer sports such as beach volleyball and beach soccer. She is a huge lover of animals, and has a pet dog while one of her favorite things is to go for a walk with the dog.

Controversial fashion brand Brandy Melville
The fashion brand which has made Scarlett popular was founded in 1970 in Italy by father and son Silvio and Stephan Marsan. The name of their company ‘Brandy Melville’ was a character in a book Stephan read and he was the one to come up with the name.
Their first retail store was opened in Los Angeles in 2009, and by 2016 they counted over 100 stores worldwide. The brand is known for not spending a lot of money on advertising, as they are mostly focused on using word-of-mouth and social media to advertise their clothes. Although the company is originally from Europe, they are mostly focused on adjusting their prices for women living in the US.
Women have described Brandy Melville as ‘trend-setting’, ‘relevant’, cool and fast fashion’, and one of the reasons why their clothes are one-size and are mostly bought by teenagers is that their product research team is made of teenagers of age 15 and up.
