Terrence Clarke, a freshman shooting guard from Kentucky, passed away in a car accident in Los Angeles when he was 19 years old.
Clarke started high school at Rivers School before transferring to Brewster Academy, where his team won the National Prep Championships in 2019.
The basketball player was a five-star recruit and one of the top 2020 shooting guard prospects. He played one season of college basketball for Kentucky before declaring for the NBA draft.

A Los Angeles Police Department officer reported that the promising shooting guard’s car struck a truck after “running a red light” speedily.
The incident was caught on video surveillance showing that he crashed with another car that was about to make a left turn. He was taken to Northridge Hospital after the incident and took his last breath succumbing to his injuries after the collision.
According to Matassa, the truck’s driver, who was in the other car, didn’t report any injuries. Clarke was driving a Hyundai Genesis 2021 and was not wearing his seat belt properly. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski said Clarke’s mother was by his side during the accident.
