Teri Woods Net Worth, Income, Salary, Earnings, Biography

Teri Woods is an American novelist who hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is one of the country’s most successful self-published authors.

While working at a law firm in Philadelphia, Woods completed her first novel, True to the Game, in 1992. She spent six years submitting the manuscript to a variety of publishers, all of whom turned it down. In 1998, Woods had copies of the book printed herself and began hand-selling the novel to booksellers in and around Philadelphia, and eventually across the United States, eventually founding Teri Woods Publishing, a self-publishing house to put out her own work and that of others, primarily in the urban fiction genre, aimed at a demographic that major publishers largely ignore. Woods’ breakthrough success aided her in securing a multimillion-dollar deal with Hachette Book Group USA to republish her previously published books.
