Ted Blom died last week Friday (29 April 2023), confirmed his son Edward Blom. The 64-year-old breathed his last at Linksfield Hospital.
It has been reported that Ted Blom died after losing a lengthy battle with Cancer.
While informing about his demise, the energy activist’s family said that Blom, as a man of dignity, honor, and strong principles, dedicated his life to loving his family and fighting against corruption in South Africa.
The statement said the late energy expert always persevered through challenges while fighting cancer for a few years.
Sandra Dickson, the founder of Stop COCT and Ted Blom’s longtime friend, said: “he was one of the most outspoken, sincere, and hardworking activists.
She added Ted’s job was exposing corruption at Eskom, advising South African Trade Unions with Eskom wage negotiations, helping municipalities with escalating Eskom bills, and being a downright straight shooter.
Dickson also remarked that her friend never feared speaking his mind.
According to Sandra Dickson, Ted spent two years fighting aggressive cancer and did all in his power to stave off this life-threatening condition.
“He never complained or spoke negatively about his situation; he stayed upbeat,” the fellow activist explained.

Ted Blom Was A Loving Family Man
Energy expert Ted Blom was a family man who led a happy family. The activist was a loving husband to his wife and a doting dad to his children, including Edward Blom.
Aside from his dedication to energy issues in South Africa, Ted also provided and protected his family. The family statement said, “He was an excellent dad filled with love for his wife and kids, always providing and protecting.”
Although it has not revealed how long the energy activist had been married to his better half, we assume that the married duo had been together for a few years.
It is unknown how many children he had. However, Edward Blom is one of Ted Blom’s children. The name and other details about the late persona’s family members are yet to be disclosed.
Even though the Blom family’s time with their beloved father or husband has been cut short, they must have had a wonderful time together. Hopefully, the bereaved Blom family will find the courage to cope with the devastating loss.
