He started writing film scripts when he was still in school. While in school he belonged to a musical group and Dramatic club. After he had completed his National Youth Service (NYSC), he traveled to the UK to publish his first book. Come 2007, Chikere launched his first studio album, after which he launched his second album in the UK.
Tchidi joined the Nigerian movie industry as a scriptwriter, movie director, and actor. He is a creative filmmaker and one of the leading movie directors and producers in Nigeria.
Chikere has had over sixty movies to his credit. One of the greatest movies he wrote and directed in Nollywood is “Stronger Than Pain”, an emotional tragic movie that featured celebrities like Kate Henshaw and Emeka Ike.
