Taron was born and raised in Birkenhead, Merseyside, on the Wirral peninsula opposite Liverpool, along the south bank of River Mersey.
Despite being born in England, and so being English by birth, Taron considers himself Welsh and is fluent in both Welsh and English.
The reason why Taron chose Welsh as his national and ethnic identity is that after his mom and dad got divorced when he was two years old, he moved with his mother to the Welsh island of Anglesey and went to primary school there until he was 12 years old.

Despite calling the place home now, Taron had difficulty fitting in. So, to combat loneliness, the actor started acting at age 15 to become more social and gain friends. He eventually joined the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
According to People, his entire family, especially his mother, helped him with the auditions for the spot at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. They all pitched in and paid for his audition money.
Even after, he recalls that his mother and the others helped him with accommodations and finding a place to live throughout his early career. So, when he finally became a success, it felt like a win for his entire family than just for himself.
He further stated in the article that to thank his family for their early support. He bought his mother a house in 2016. He joked that his mother had still not stopped crying.

Taron Egerton father, David Egerton, once ran a bed and breakfast near Liverpool. David is now in a band called Dataslave.
According to their Instagram bio, Dataslave is an Alternative, New Wave, and Electronic band. They are a three-piece band with David and his two friends.
They also have a YouTube page where they post all of their music. The channel was created on October 7, 2010.
So far, they have released three singles called Camera, Farewell, and Pit of Devotion on July 4, July 11, and July 16 of 2016 as a teaser for their debut EP, Revolt. The EP was released on July 18, 2016.
They released their most recent song, Apathy Reigns, on October 2017. Their Instagram has also not been active since December 4, 2018.
Sadly, nothing else is known about Taron’s father after this point, as the actor has not posted about him on his Instagram. The actor removed all pictures before September 11, 2021.
