Dave Attell Net Worth and Salary: Dave Attell is an American stand-up comedian, writer and actor perhaps best known as the host of Comedy Central’s “Insomniac with Dave Attell”. Dave Attell has a net worth of $6 million. He was born on January 18, 1965 in Queens, New York and grew up in Rockville Centre, New York. He graduated from New York University in 1987 with a degree in communications. He then worked menial jobs during the day and put in his time at comedy clubs at night to perfect his routine. He worked his first standup gig at Governor’s in Levittown and, according to Attell, “totally bombed”. Attell’s first television appearance was in 1988 on VH1’s “Stand-Up Spotlight”, which also featured early appearances by Lewis Black, Margaret Cho, Jeff Garlin, Jay Mohr, and Wanda Sykes. The show was hosted by Rosie O’Donnell. Attell’s big break came in late 1993 when he appeared on “The Late Show with David Letterman” for the first time. “Saturday Night Live” creator Lorne Michaels saw his performance and hired him to be a writer and occasional performer on “SNL”. Attell worked on “SNL” primarily in 1994 and can be seen behind Chris Farley in the famous “Rudy Giuliani Inauguration” sketch. In 1995, Comedy Central signed him as a regular commentator on “The Daily Show”. In April 2014, Comedy Central premiered “Comedy Underground” with Dave Attell. He performs regularly around the country at stand up clubs and for private events.
