Tamiko Bolton’s biography, net worth, fact, career, awards and life story

Tamiko Bolton (born 1971) is an American entrepreneur and health care consultant. She is the third, and the current, wife of Hungarian-born billionaire businessman George Soros.

Early life and education

Bolton was born on October 18, 1971, to a Japanese-American nurse and a retired naval commander, Robert J. Bolton (born October 18, 1946). She grew up in California.

She graduated from the University of Utah and earned a masters in business administration from the University of Miami.

Career

Bolton is an internet entrepreneur and a healthcare consultant. She runs an internet-based dietary supplement and vitamin sales firm. She also founded an online yoga education platform.

Marriage to George Soros

Bolton met George Soros at a dinner party in 2008. They kept their relationship out of the public eye until the summer of 2012, when they were spotted at the screening of the film “The Intouchables” at a Paley Center of Meida in New York City.

Soros proposed her over a summer weekend in 2012 at his residence in Southampton. They announced their engagement in August 2012 and got married in September 2013 at Soros’ estate in Bedford, New York, which he bought in 2003 from the previous owner, author Michael Crichton of “Jurassic Park” fame.

Their non-denominational wedding was officiated by the US Federal judge Kimba Wood. The ceremony was attended by the couple’s family and well-known people in politics and entertainment, including World Bank President, Jim Yong Kim; president of Estonia, Toomas Hendrik Ilves; president of Liberia, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf; prime minister of Albania, Edi Rama; International Monetary Fund executive, Christine Lagarde; and singer, Bono.

This was the second marriage of Bolton. 

Soros had been previously married twice. He was first married to Annaliese Witschak from 1960 to 1983. They had three children: Robert Daniel Soros (born 1963,) Andrea Soros Colombel (born 1965,) and Jonathan Tivadar Soros (born 1970.) Shortly after divorcing Witschak, Soros married his second wife, American historian, Susan Weber Soros, in 1983. Susas was twenty-five years junior to Soros. The marriage ended in a divorce in 2005. Soros and Susan had two children: Alexander Soros (born 1985,) and Gregory Soros (born 1988.) 

After divorcing Susan, Soros dated Brazilian actress, Adriana Ferreyr, for five years. The two had met in 2006, and the relationship went bitter with them breaking up in early 2010. Soros was seeing Bolton while dating Ferreyr. In August 2011, Ferreyr, 52 years younger to Soros, filed a $50 million lawsuit against Soros for fraud, harassment, emotional distress, estoppel and assault and battery. It was reported that Soros allegedly physically attacked her, slapped and choked her, and once tossed a lamp at her.
