Tami Roman is the daughter of Nadine Buford and Puerto Rican. Puerto left the family when Nadine was pregnant with Tami.
Tami’s mother remarried a Muslim family but the marriage did not last long. After this, she lost her job and Tami had to live on the road for some time.
It became hard for both mother and daughter but, later, Tami got the opportunity to work for MTV on Real World.
Tami was raised by her single mother in White Plains, New York as an only child. Tami’s mother later passed on. She has always spoken highly of her mother and expressed how much her demise has affected her.
