Taini Jamison net worth at time of death

Legendary former Silver Ferns coach Taini Jamison had an estimated net worth of $1 million at the time of death. Jamison’s net worth was accrued from her career as a netball player, adminstrator and coach.

Born on 23 February 1928, Taini Maremare Jamison’s (OBE) passion for netball began at a young age. She was a member of the Rotorua representative team, which won the national championships and was also selected for the North Island team three times.

She retired from competition in 1959 and spent the next ten years coaching the Rotorua team.

Jamison coached the New Zealand netball team to victory at the World Netball Championships in Perth, Australia, in 1967.

In 1971, despite the fact that the New Zealand team had been away from home for nearly four months, she coached them to second place in the 1971 World Netball Championships in Jamaica.

She was the first Mori coach of the New Zealand netball team and is its most successful coach, with a 90% win rate.

Jamison has been involved with Netball Rotorua for nearly her entire adult life, serving as its president from 1981 to 2001.

In her honor, the Taini Jamison Trophy, contested between New Zealand and visiting international teams other than Australia, was named after her.
