Basic Travel Requirements for Angolans visiting
Switzerland
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to
apply for a Swiss Visa.
- Passport with a validity of at least six months from the period of exiting the country.
- The passport must contain two blank pages for the visa entry stamp.
- Correctly filled and signed visa application by the applicant.
- Two copies of identical passport photographs taken with a white background.
- The photographs must not be older than 6 months.
- Original bank statements covering the last six months prior to the period of a visa application should be provided.
- Travel insurance which has sufficient medical coverage. The insurance should be valid for the duration of the stay in Switzerland.
- Proof of accommodation or hotel organization throughout the period of stay in Switzerland.
- Copy of return flight ticket showing that the applicant will be returning to Angola after the visa expires is required.
- Travel itinerary showing travel details, arrival and departure date from Switzerland.
- Proof of civil status or nationality as an Angolan citizen.

Switzerland Business Visa Eligibility &
Requirements
- The business visa is for foreigners intending to engage in business activities such as negotiating and signing business contracts, attending seminars, conferences, and getting involved with trade fairs with other business partners in Switzerland.
- An invitation letter from the host company in Switzerland printed on the company’s letterhead and signed by an authorized signatory of the host company is required.
- The invitation letter must contain the full address and valid contacts information of the company, as well as, the purpose and duration of the trip.
- The business letter from the host company should also state if they will be financially responsible for the applicant for the entire duration of stay in Switzerland.
- A letter from the applicant’s employer in Angola should be provided. The letter must introduce the applicant and confirm allowance and awareness of business leave.
- If there have been previous trade relations between the host company and the sponsoring company, proof of this is required.
- Foreigners applying for the Business Visa to Switzerland from Angola must possess a valid residency permit.
- Holders of this visa are not permitted to receive payments for the services they render while they are in the country.

Requirements
- The Tourist Visa is for foreign nationals travelling to Switzerland for sightseeing, relaxation, and recreation purposes.
- This visa is also issued to foreigners who are travelling to visit their friends or relative residing in Switzerland.
- Applicants are required to present an invitation letter from the host in Switzerland.
- The host could be either a family member, friend or tour organization/company in Switzerland.
- The letter of invitation from the host in Switzerland should contain the contact information of the host and state the type of relationship with the applicant.
- Applicants from Angola applying for the tourist visa must show proof of valid nationality by providing a valid national Identification card or have a residence permit valid for at least three months from the period of the planned exit from the country if the applicant is a visitor in Angola.
- Minors travelling alone are required to present a notarized consent signed by both their parents and a copy of the original birth certificate.
- Holders of the Tourist Visa are not permitted to engage in business activities while they are in Switzerland.
- Foreigners are expected to leave the country on or before the visa expires.
