Basic Travel Requirements for Filipinos visiting
Sweden

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to
apply for a Swedish Visa.

  • Duly Signed Sweden visa application form is required.
  • Original, signed Philippine passport valid at least 3 months.
  • The passport should have at least two blank pages for the entry/exit stamp.
  • Two passport photographs with a white background (35mm x 45mm).
  • A copy of round trip tickets or itinerary.
  • A medical travel insurance 
  • Copies of bank statements from the past 3 months.
  • Copy of the Hotel Reservations or accommodation
  • If visiting friends or family, you must provide a letter of invitation with the contact information of the host and visitor, purpose and duration of the visit, confirmation of accommodation including the address, signature, and date. 
  • You will also need to provide proof of the host’s status in Sweden ie. copy of their Sweden passport’s information page. If they are not a citizen of Sweden, copies of their Sweden residence permit and their national passport’s information pages.
  • The visa collection time is 9:00 am to 2:00 pm (Mondays – Fridays) except for public holidays.

Sweden Business Visa Eligibility &
Requirements

  • The business visa is issued to the Philippines traveling to Sweden for some business activities.
  • A Philippine passport valid for at least 3 months.
  • Fully completed Swedish business visa application form.
  • A passport size (35mm x 45mm) photographs not older than 6 months with a white background.
  • Current bank statement and one copy thereof.
  • Proof of travel insurance coverage for trips.
  • Proof of sufficient funds during the stay in Sweden.
  • Proof of Swedish hotel reservation and an airline booking reservation for Sweden.
  • The passport should have at least two blank pages for the entry/exit stamp.
  • This business visa can enable the Philippines to attend trade fairs, conferences, and business summits while they are in Sweden.
  • A letter of invitation from the inviting company in Sweden stating the duration and purpose of the applicant’s visit is required.
  • A copy of the Philippine’s resident permit.

Sweden Tourist Visa Eligibility &
Requirements

  • A tourist visa is issued to the Philippines traveling to Sweden for visitation/tourism.
  • A Philippine passport that is valid for a minimum of three months.
  • Sufficient money for your keep and for the journey home. Sweden requires that you have SEK 450 for daily spending.
  • A copy of the Philippine resident permit.
  • Medical travel insurance.
  • Two blank pages should be left in your passport for entry/exit stamp.
  • Two passports size (35mm x 45mm) photographs with a white background.
  • Signed Sweden tourist visa application form.
  • Proof of Swedish hotel reservation and an airline booking reservation for Sweden.
  • A letter of invitation is required if you are visiting someone in Sweden. The letter must state the relationship between you and the host and the duration of your visit.
  • Minors traveling with one or none of their parents are required to present a copy of their birth certificate and a notarized consent signed by both their parents.

Sweden Student Visa Eligibility &
Requirements

  • The Student Visa is issued to the Philippines who have been offered admission to study in an academic institution in Sweden.
  • Two originals of duly accomplished study visa application forms.
  • Original Philippine passport valid not less than six months beyond the intended period of stay in Sweden.
  • Two passport size (35mm x 45mm) photographs with a white background.
  • Original and one photocopy of birth certificate, verified and authenticated. 
  • Proof of admission letter to a full-time accredited university for studies in Sweden.
  • Proof of the first installment of the tuition fees for your course of study.
  • Valid supporting documentation to support your residence permit application.
  • A  passport with validity of three months
  • You must possess a letter of admission from the university that has offered you admission in its course of study 
  • Proof of your financial ability so as to support yourself financially during the course of your study in Sweden
  • In case you are to stay in Sweden for a period of less than one year, you must have comprehensive health insurance and will need to provide its proof.
  • You must fully intend to leave Sweden at the end of your course of study.
  • Proof of study visa fee payment.

Sweden Work Visa Eligibility &
Requirements

  • A work visa is issued to the Philippines  who have been offered employment by an employer in Sweden.
  • A copy of your work permit is required.
  • Educational qualifications and curriculum vitae should be provided.
  • A copy of the Philippine residence permit.
  • The employment contract signed by both the employer and employee should be provided. The letter must state the job position offered to the applicant and the duration of employment.
  • Two passport size (35mm x 45mm) photographs with a white background.
  • Medical insurance should be provided.
  • Proof of financial ability to support the daily expenses in Sweden.
  • A duly signed and completely filled work visa application form.
